About Our New Home
KMBS has purchased a 3½ storey shop unit located at B2, Vantage Point, Jalan Bangau 11, Bandar Puchong Jaya. It is visible from the Bukit Jalil Highway (next to the Petronas Station). The size of the building is 22×75 and of freehold status. The surrounding area is quiet and lush with greenery.
The new building will have a dedicated Shrine Hall on the ground floor which is used for weekly service, Dhamma discussion, and meditation for the community.
The 1st floor is the multipurpose hall for fellowships, workshop and seminars as well as students camps, which is also be used as classrooms for Sunday School.
The 2nd floor has dedicated classrooms for Sunday Dhamma School and is also used for housing children’s and teens camp and retreats.
The 3rd floor which is half floor and extended into a full floor. It accommodates a library and a room for visiting monastics. The extended section will be turned into a garden.
The purchase and renovation cost is RM1.6Million.
What We Have Done So Far
Over the past 6 years, a small group of us have diligently raised RM1.3 million (RM300K is soft loans repayable within the next 2 years) through various fund raising activities which include Charity Dinner, Concert, Charity Golf, Pledging, Donations, Charity Art Exhibition, Dama Orchestra Concert, Kinrara Metta Run 2011, and Soft loans (interest free) from Dhamma friends and supporters and currently through Sponsorship of Inscribed Copper Sutras.
