History

Kinrara Metta Buddhist Society (KMBS) was formally established in 2005, under the guidance of The Most Venerable B. Sri Saranankara, Nayaka Maha Thera, and Chief Abbot of the Sentul Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple. KMBS, a community based society, was established with the assistance of a group of dedicated and engaged volunteer Buddhists to bring the sublime message of the Buddha to Puchong, Kinrara and the surrounding townships. A kind benefactor has allowed the Society to use the 2nd floor space of the above shop lot which was sufficient to cater to the needs of the devotees then. However over time, the Society has grown steadily with increasing demand for Buddhist Spiritual Education. Our intake of students for the Sunday Dhamma Class has leapfrogged from a humble number of 15 students to the current 80, not to mention the parents and adults who also seek a place of spiritual solace and education for themselves. Hence the need to seek for more suitable premises to cater for the growing needs of the Buddhist community.
